Manuscript Withdrawal Policy
The Solo Universal Journal of Islamic Education and Multiculturalism (Sujiem) enforces a strict manuscript withdrawal policy to maintain the integrity of the scholarly publication process and to ensure the responsible use of editorial time and resources. Authors are not permitted to withdraw a manuscript after submission, as they have already declared that the article is not under consideration and will not be submitted to any other journal. Withdrawal after submission is considered detrimental, as editors and peer reviewers have invested their time, effort, and expertise in evaluating the manuscript.
If an author insists on requesting withdrawal while the manuscript is still under peer review, a penalty fee of USD 35 per manuscript will be charged as compensation for the resources expended by the publisher. Withdrawal due to acceptance by another journal is regarded as a violation of academic publication ethics and is strictly unacceptable.
For manuscripts withdrawn after being formally accepted for publication, authors will be charged a penalty fee of USD 45 per manuscript. Withdrawal requests will only be processed once all penalty fees have been paid in full to the publisher.
If an author refuses to comply with these terms, Sujiem reserves the right to place the author and their affiliated institution on a blacklist, barring them from submitting to this journal in the future. This policy is implemented to uphold academic ethical standards, prevent abuse of the editorial process, and protect the credibility of the journal as well as the broader scholarly community.
