Journal History of SICOPUS

SICOPUS is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal focusing on social sciences and humanities studies. This journal is published by Walidem Institute and Publishing (WIP) under NIB-1403230000838 and AHU-045053.AH.01.30.2023, officially registered with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. SICOPUS publishes various types of scholarly works, including research articles, conceptual papers, field study reports, and book reviews, contributing to the advancement of social sciences and humanities.

With its unique characteristics, the name SICOPUS is derived from one of the names associated with the city of Solo, renowned for its values of humanism, socialism, and scientific pursuit. This journal is committed to integrating social sciences and humanities across multiple aspects, including character development, social and cultural dynamics, sustainable development, health, and social welfare.

Since its initial publication in 2023, SICOPUS has continuously evolved and achieved several significant milestones:

  • 2023: The journal was officially launched and obtained E-ISSN 2988-3512.
  • 2023: SICOPUS was successfully indexed in various academic databases, including Google Scholar, Crossref, Dimensions, Garuda, Moraref, ResearchGate, DOI, and other indexes.
  • 2024: SICOPUS passed the desk evaluation for indexing in SINTA (Science and Technology Index), managed by the Government of Indonesia.
  • 2025: SICOPUS officially indexed in SINTA (Science and Technology Index). We are proud to announce that SICOPUS has been officially indexed in SINTA, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This achievement reflects our commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in supporting the advancement of science and technology.
  • 2025: SICOPUS submitted an application for indexing in Scopus, one of the most prestigious international academic databases (hopefully, it will be accepted).

With these achievements, SICOPUS remains committed to being a high-quality publication platform in the field of social sciences and humanities, contributing to academic progress and societal development.
