Abstract

Leadership in Islam has become an important subject of research in social and political contexts. This article examines the concept of leadership in Islam and compares it to the leadership tactics used by controversial Indonesian political and military figure, Prabowo Subianto. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extent to which Prabowo Subianto's tactics are in line with the principles of leadership in Islam. The research methodology involves a qualitative approach and comparative analysis of Prabowo Subianto's literature and behaviour. Key findings suggest that there are significant differences between Prabowo's leadership tactics and leadership concepts in Islam, with some of his tactics at odds with Islamic values such as justice and sustainability. The potential implications of this study are the importance of a better understanding of Islamic principles in modern leadership practices, as well as the need for leaders who adhere to these values to achieve justice and stability in society.
