Anies Rasyid Baswedan's Thoughts on the Concept of Fair and Wise Leadership

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and understand the concept and practice of fair and wise leadership from the perspective of Anies Baswedan, a figure and practitioner of education and politics in Indonesia. Fair and wise leadership is the principle that underlies the various decisions and actions taken by a leader to achieve prosperity and justice for the society he leads. This research method uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques on speeches, writings, and interviews conducted by Anies Baswedan. The data collected was analyzed to identify the ideas, values, and leadership strategies carried out by Anies Baswedan in the context of building justice and wisdom in various fields, especially in education and politics. The results of the study show that Anies Baswedan advocates leadership that is in favour of justice, equality, and diversity. He carries ideas such as community empowerment, inclusivity, and participation in the decision-making process as the foundation for the success of fair and wise leadership. Anies Baswedan also emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in carrying out leadership duties. This research provides in-depth insight into the concept of fair and wise leadership according to Anies Baswedan's perspective, as well as its relevance in the social, political, and educational contexts in Indonesia. The implications of the findings of this research can be used as a basis for the development of leadership theories and practices oriented towards justice and wisdom at various levels of organizations and communities.
